Below is a list of Summer 2008 basketball camps that we recommend:
August 4-8 -
Cedardale Health Club - Haverhill Aug. 4-8 at the
Higgins Middle School in Peabody The Mass Hoop Elite Basketball Skill Development Camp will be held Aug. 11-15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for girls and boys ages 7-15 at the Ipswich High School gymnasium. The camp, run under the direction of Zach and Mandy Zegarowski, will offer skill development and fundamentals for each level of children. All participants will receive a T-shirt and individual written evaluations. Cost is $175 for the first child and $75 for each additional child in a particular family, with a cap of $300 per family. Scholarships are also available. To secure a spot, please mail a $50 deposit to Mass Hoop Elite, 261 Cutler Road, South Hamilton, MA 01982, along with your child's name, address and age. Registration forms can be downloaded at www.ipswichtravelbball.com The Rising Star Basketball School will be held at Marblehead High from Aug. 11-15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. This is for players between the ages of 9-18. Longtime college coach Kevin O'Brien is the camp director and his staff includes ex-Peabody High coach Chris Mastrangelo and North Shore Tech coach Jody Norton.
