| 2007-08 Season:
We offer towns the ability to enter as many Boys teams
as they have available. We have 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th Grade Divisions. The first
games will start the Monday following Thanksgiving but teams are welcome
to scrimmage each other before the season begins.
Each team is to pay dues of $150 per team
for the league administration and web site maintenance. Checks will be
made out to Doug Lindland and mailed to 2 Taft Woods Row, Hamilton, MA 01982.
Dues not paid by the completion of the first game
will result in that team forfeiting that game and every game until the
dues are received. Each home team is
responsible for paying the referee dues at their game. Once all the
teams are entered, the league will develop the schedule pairings and
plug in the schedule. It is up to the coaches to make game schedule
changes and then they will
be posted to this web site. We also recommend games be scheduled during the week as well to have
more gym opportunities and more referee availability.
We also have gyms available for
game and practice rentals at reduced rates. Don't let your lack of a gym
discourage you from having the kids play Travel Basketball!
Each team is responsible for providing their own
numbered uniforms, we prefer a reversible jersey so their are not color
conflicts. Each team is to provide a scoreboard operator and a scorebook
keeper per game. We encourage both teams to enter scores and results for entering the scores
and both teams can enter highlights and e-mail photos as we will have a
highlights section on the web site for the kids.
The league playoffs will be held in a double
elimination format and be hosted at Hamilton-Wenham and Gordon College the last week and
weekend of the season. The playoff fees will be between $225 and $275
per team which include referee costs, gym costs and awards. The league
will develop the pairings and schedule. Teams are required to play in
the playoffs - or pay the fee.
